1. Shipping and Delivery Policies
1.1 The confirmed order will be processed on the next working day after payment is received.
1.11 The arrangement for delivery may take 3 to 28 working days as shown on each item page stated as ‘within 2-3 weeks’.
1.2 Our delivery team works Monday to Saturday excluding public holidays, timed between 9.30am-6pm, customers are responsible to obtain property management’s permit (if any).
1.21 Items will be delivered and assembled by our in-house delivery team.
1.3 The delivery of items may vary depending on availability and production speed, rest assured it will be at your door step within the promised duration.
1.31 In certain circumstances, we may ship your item separately due to the nature of products with NO additional charges of delivery fee.
1.4 Although every effort is made to deliver your order according to date estimated, delivery time may change due to unforeseen circumstances which are beyond our control.
1.5 A call will be made to confirm the date and time before delivery.
1.51 If your order was not delivered on the estimated delivery time on your order confirmation, please contact us for assistance.
1.6 In the rare event if a wrong item is being delivered, please contact our customer service team within 24 hours to arrange for replacement to be sent.
1.7 Please Note: Delivery time may take longer for some remote/regional areas.
2. Shipping Charges
2.1 Shipping charges are calculated based on product price and the geographical region of the delivery address.
2.11 Estimated shipping charges from Couch Designs Warehouse are determined by zone with a certain spending limit.
2.12 Details of shipping charges are as listed below.
2.2 Customers may have a rough guide of shipping estimates by entering the state on the product page.
2.21 An applicable shipping charge will be shown when a full address has been provided during the checkout process.
2.3 Area Cover / Shipping Charges:
2.31 Klang Valley – Free Delivery
2.32 West Malaysia (except Klang Valley) – RM 300
2.4 *Outstation delivery date will be informed after the purchase.
2.5 Be sure your building’s lifts, stairwells or doors are able to fit in the furniture dimensions before purchasing.
2.6 Delivery fees are not applicable to non accessible floors without elevators.
2.61 Do note that there will be an Extra Charges of RM50 per floor starting from 3rd floor and above (apply to stairs within landed properties) for lifting goods by stairs.
2.62 For residential with elevators, kindly check on your elevator before loading size before delivery to avoid disappointment.
2.7 We reserve the right to cancel any delivery if the process is deemed unfeasible (i.e. items prone to damage on narrow stairway, obstruction of passageway) based on our assessment.
2.71 Delivery will then be performed under a non-hazardous manner.
3. Delivery Arrangement
3.1 Customers will be contacted 1-2 days in advance to confirm on delivery date and time.
3.11 Please ensure your presence during the delivery on the agreed date and time.
3.12 Kindly pre-register with the residence management (if applicable) for a smoother process.
3.2 A full-fledged service will be provided by our professionally trained team, by assembling and placing at the area of your choice.
3.21 Packaging will also be discarded from your premises.
4. Disposal Service
4.1 Disposal services are available, do let us know in advance with a remark at the checkout page.
4.11 Disposal fee is RM50 and above based on the size and quantity of said furniture.
5. Holding of Order
5.1 Confirmed order can be held up at a warehouse for a maximum of 6 months (starting from the date of finalised payment made).
5.11 A fee for storage space may be incurred for extension of delivery date.
6. Delivery and Storage Charges
6.1 Delivery dates are estimates only and may be subject to change.
6.2 The Buyer must take delivery of or collect the goods within two (2) weeks from the date the Buyer is notified that the goods are ready for delivery or collection.
6.3 If the Buyer fails to do so, storage charges shall apply at a fixed rate of RM7.50 per piece per day, calculated based on the number of individual components stored.
6.4 Storage charges shall continue to accrue until delivery or collection is completed.
7. Acceptance of Goods
7.1 Upon receiving the goods, the Buyer must inspect all items delivered.
7.2 After the delivery note or invoice has been signed, the goods shall be deemed accepted in respect of their visible condition and quantity at the time of delivery.
7.3 No refund or exchange shall be allowed for change of mind after acceptance.
7.4 This does not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights in respect of latent or hidden defects under the Akta Perlindungan Pengguna 1999 (Akta 599).
8. Buyer’s Acknowledgement and Acceptance
8.1 The Buyer confirms that he/she has read, understood, and acknowledged these Terms and Conditions of Sale and Warranty, and agrees to be bound by them upon signing the sales order or related purchase document.
8.2 The Buyer further confirms that all relevant terms, including payment, delivery, storage charges, inspection, refund processing, acceptance of goods, and warranty scope and exclusions, have been explained prior to purchase.
9. Measurement, Access, and Delivery Suitability
9.1 The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the ordered goods are suitable for the intended space and that there is adequate access for delivery, including lifts, staircases, corridors, doors, and entrances.
9.2 Any additional cost arising from failed delivery, restricted access, special lifting, re-delivery, or return to storage shall be borne by the Buyer unless caused by the Company’s own error.
10. Failed Delivery
10.1 Any collection, handover, release, or delivery timing provided by the Company shall be subject to the Company’s operational arrangement, manpower availability, working hours, and any reasonable delay beyond the Company’s control, including traffic conditions, road closures, accidents, weather, vehicle breakdown, or other unforeseen circumstances.
10.2 Where a time period is given by the Company, the Company may release, hand over, or deliver the item(s) at any time within that stated period, and such release, handover, or delivery shall be deemed timely and in accordance with the agreed arrangement.
10.3 If any delay occurs due to the circumstances stated above, the timing shall be reasonably extended accordingly.
10.4 For example, where the stated time is between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, release, handover, or delivery at 2:30 PM shall be considered within the agreed period.
10.5 If delivery cannot be completed due to the Buyer’s absence, incomplete instructions, restricted access, refusal to receive, or site conditions not previously disclosed, the Company may reschedule delivery and impose reasonable re-delivery, handling, and storage charges.
11. Self-Collection / Third-Party Transport
11.1 Where the Buyer elects self-collection or appoints a third-party transporter, the Buyer shall inspect the goods before release.
11.2 Risk of loss or damage in transit shall pass upon collection, without affecting any manufacturing defect already present before collection.
11.3 Where the customer elects self-collection or appoints a third-party transporter, the Company shall not be responsible for damage, loosening, tearing, bending, scratching, impact marks, structural stress, or other issues arising after handover for collection.
12. Display Unit / Clearance / “As Is” Items
12.1 Where goods are sold as a display unit, clearance item, or on an “as is” basis, the Buyer confirms that the condition of the goods, including any disclosed defect, wear, mark, stain, dent, or imperfection, has been explained and accepted before purchase.
12.2 Such disclosed conditions shall not be treated as defects after delivery, without affecting the Buyer’s statutory rights in respect of any undisclosed defect or misdescription.
